Replicating carbon-copies

Rectifying nothing, a narcissistic passion
destroying everything, with inappropriate fear
What merely remains? -- Only men in denial

Recalling flashes, of Apollo, of Jesus, of Eden
anything for a shortcut across this polluted golden road
destinies vision is at hand, yet you remain blind
you believe in those distortions

Reaching out to your misleading tears
only to be hushed, may you just let them fall...
they claim the right to maim
for difficult crimes in parading times

Ringing so painfully, constantly shredding, my ears
these replicating carbon-copies of honesty that lay burning
have become so difficult to swallow
Why are you so alarmed?

Remain crass in your ideals
believe that ignorance is innocence
denial equates concern, leading to disaster
...simply subjugated to your rehabilitation

Relish in my solemn thoughts
words are abysmally weighted
What merely remains? -- Only silence
