Why do I find writing so important?

That is the question that I was confronted with today. Why do I find writing so important?

Well it is simple. Writing allows me to express myself without actually telling others exactly what I am thinking. My goal is to establish a connection with my reader. So that they may understand my thoughts, and feelings while reading my writing. It is unnecessary for us to communicate; Feelings/words are reciprocated with a general understanding. I enjoy this type of interaction. It allows a more intimate, and raw form of understanding then simply talking with someone. That is what I truly believe. I feel that if someone can understand my scope of life in my writing, then you will know me better then anyone I have spoken to.

What is funny is the question I got while I was writing this. Here is the quote:

"Wow, he has already written two full pages in 10 minutes. I don't think I could ever write that much. ...Not in an entire year. What are you writing about?"

What was hilarious was my response to his question. My answer: writing.
He most likely assumed I was simply being facetious or that I didn't want to disclose the topic. I was actually being 100% serious. LMAO
