Maturity, and lack thereof

"Everyone is religious in birth and death. This is the only noticeable
similarity between the old and the young. Well... this, and the lack of
acquired intelligence".

It seems that we never actually mature, or even age in our lives.
Lack of aging is not a problem. It would actually solve many issues.
However, this distorted concept we partake in, this concept we call maturity; this is not an easy-to-understand concept. In fact, despite popular opinion, maturity is not determinable by age at all. Maturity, in my definition, is one of the most abstract concepts in existence; Let alone, one of the most important concepts in my life. Despite this being an undocumented article(its abstract anyway, good look proving anything), I enjoy the way this writer thinks.

If you believe you are mature, then you are inherently immature.
If you
think you're immature, then you forever remain immature. Maturity is complex to some, by I see it quite the opposite. However, I suppose if I feel it's simple, then it obviously is not.

If you believe yourself to be mature, you will stop looking for new ways to mature further. Resulting in you remaining at that current mental state. Thus, you are most likely going to become/remain immature. Constantly improving yourself is one of the true determining factors of maturity. If you believe yourself to be immature, you most likely have accepted this fact, and are either against, or not willing to change your perspective. Acceptance of immaturity will perpetuate this immaturity. If you believe you are immature, and refuse to accept this fact, that will be your glimmer of hope. The initiative taken, the perseverance, and the hope for change/knowledge is, what I determine to be, one of the main catalysts of maturation.

Immaturity is the spawn of ignorance, and remains like a petulant cancer to people.

To be honest, I would never consider myself to be mature. If I was mature, I wouldn't care about people's thoughts on my being. Also, if I was mature, my temperament, my quickening impatience, and my problems would all be replaced with better qualities.

My inquiry of the day: So who here is mature? Haha, that is a question everyone could still ask on a daily basis.

Looks like we are all have cancer. Damn, that sucks. Time to fight for that medicinal marijuana bill. lolz?
